2nd October 2006 - The first of many Private users register their property on the site today

30th August 2006 - The first of many estate agents register and puts up all their properties on the site

Monday August 6th - On Monday August 6th I launch the site to my family, friends and anyone else who knows me and proceed to market the business.
Marketing includes -
Emails, phone calls, press releases, press adverts, google, flyers, business cards etc.

14th July 2006 - The website programmer has confirmed that the website is complete but I am not happy as there are still errors and some changes needed

www.homeowners.ie - I lodge money in to the business bank account

4th July 2006 - I lodge the start up money in to a business bank account - now it really hits home that I am going ahead with my first business

1st June 2006 - After a number of weeks waiting for the merchant number, I can proceed with a contract with an outside payment company to handle the money transactions on the website

24th May 2006 - After a few weeks of patience, I get my merchant number for the bank; I need this to use a payment company on the website

www.homeowners.ie - Website design completed & website programming begins

11th April 2006 - The Webpage design has come back and the initial feeling was - yeah this will work! We decide to proceed and the website programming begins

24th March 2006 - My Website writer subcontracts out the design of the site and we discuss ideas and how it should look

24th March - I transferred the domain name to a different host and set up a hosting package with them

3rd March 2006 - I registered the domain name today www.homeowners.ie

27th February 2006 - Both quotations received back; I chose one because of the price, the knowledge, and the guy was more on the lines of how I was thinking

15th February 2006 - I decided to get the legal stuff out of the way early and set up a Company called Online Home Owners Ltd.

1st February 2006 - I contacted four web page writers and from that asked two of them for a qoute telling them as much as I could about the website - the hardest thing is sharing the idea with someone from the outside!
